You Don’t Find Your Passion—You Alchemize It

Here’s the truth: most of us don’t even know what our real passions are when we start out. Why?

Because we’re raised with unconscious beliefs—absorbed from parents, society, culture, and environment. We inherit desires that aren’t ours. We chase success metrics that don’t actually feed our soul. That’s why you might find yourself pursuing a goal, a car, a house—only to realize it doesn’t fulfill you.

Until you embark on your alchemical journey, you may not know what you truly want. But when you do? That’s when magic happens.

My Golden Thread

Let me share a bit of my own journey.

I come from a lineage tied to the California Gold Rush. One ancestor crossed through jungles, oceans, and wilderness chasing the promise of gold—and ended up building a legacy not in gold, but in meat (they became butchers feeding hungry miners).

That spirit of gold—of golden opportunity—stayed in my bloodline. In high school, I started a brand called California Lifestyle, which evolved into Golden Lifestyle—my luxury brand vision. After back surgery, I was couch-bound, designing shirts and dreaming up visions for what Golden Life could be.

Later, I opened a meditation retail store. Started the Golden Life Academy. Even played with the idea of a magazine. I didn’t know where this golden thread was leading, but I followed it anyway.

Then, in 2020, I picked up The Idiot’s Guide to Alchemy—and everything clicked. I realized the symbols on my own tattoo sleeve told the three stages of the alchemical process. My entire journey had been preparing me to guide others on theirs.

I became the alchemical advisor I was always meant to be.

Follow the Pull—Not the Plan

That’s what this is about. Not following a perfect 10-step plan. But following the pull. That mysterious, unexplainable pull from your heart that keeps whispering: try this… go here… trust me.

That pull might show up in the quiet of a walk, the energy of a new project, the joy of losing yourself in a creative flow state. It's often subtle, not loud. But it's powerful.

Sometimes it’s inconvenient. Sometimes it doesn’t make “sense.” But if it sparks something in your heart—it’s worth exploring.

And listen: if your passion journey isn’t working out the way you expected, maybe it’s because you’re gripping too tightly. You’re trying to control the how, instead of surrendering to the what. You might be stuck in a trap of thinking, “If I don’t succeed as this specific thing, then I’ve failed.” But your golden thread may be leading you somewhere better.

The Lesson: Follow the Golden Thread

Here’s the key shift I want to offer:

🔑 Don’t just follow your passion. Follow your golden thread.

Let it be an adventure. Let it surprise you. You don’t need all the answers right now. Just trust the next small step.

Your golden life will unfold—not in the rush to arrive, but in the willingness to follow that mysterious pull with courage and curiosity.
