Unlocking the Beast: A Journey of Transformation and Self-Discovery

Mar 18, 2025

Transformation isn’t easy. It’s messy, it’s painful, and sometimes, it forces us to confront the parts of ourselves we’ve locked away. For Lucky, this journey was about facing his fears, embracing his inner power, and realizing that what once seemed like a threat was actually his greatest ally.

The Fox Within

During an intense heart-opening ceremony, Lucky encountered a vision of a fox—one that he had metaphorically locked away. At first, it was confusing. Why did he imprison this part of himself? What was he so afraid of? But as the journey unfolded, he realized something profound:

"That key, going back to earlier, was me unlocking the beast."

As soon as he welcomed the fox back, he saw it differently—not as a threat, but as a guardian. A protector of himself and his family. Through the ceremony, he envisioned the fox wrapping itself around his home, offering safety, comfort, and companionship.

"Your greatest fear can actually be your biggest ally."

David, the guide on this journey, reinforced this idea. By opening his heart and shining a light on what he once feared, Lucky saw that the fox was not something to be hidden—it was his strength, his power, a part of himself that had been waiting to emerge.

And then came a moment of realization:

"My wife loves foxes… and I had this epiphany—I'm my wife's fox."

That night, he called her, trying to explain the experience. She listened, a bit confused at first, but then something clicked. Among her collection of fox figurines, there was one that stood out—just one gray fox among the traditional red ones.

It was a sign. Magic, right there in front of him.

The Sacred Return

After two grueling days of deep emotional and spiritual work, the final day was about integration. A moment to process, to breathe, to let the transformation settle. Through breathwork, stretching, and cold therapy, Lucky allowed his nervous system to catch up with the evolution his mind and spirit had already undergone.

And then came the declaration—a powerful statement of self.

As David read it out loud, Lucky thought, "That’s a cool interpretation of me." But then, he asked, "Where did you get all that?"

David’s response was simple yet profound:

"You said it yourself. I just wrote it down."

It was a revelation. The words weren’t someone else’s perception of him; they were his own truths, pulled from deep within. One part that stood out was his family name—DeJesus.

"We live life on our own terms."

This phrase, something that had been part of his lineage all along, suddenly carried a new weight. It wasn’t just about independence; it was about owning his journey, his choices, and the legacy he was creating.

"I called myself the conductor."

And it made sense. Whether planning trips with friends, structuring projects, or organizing events, Lucky had a natural ability to orchestrate harmony. Not balance—because balance implies a standstill—but harmony, where every part of life has its moment to shine.

"Each instrument in an orchestra has its time to play. If you try to give everything equal time, the music becomes flat. But if you create harmony, you produce something beautiful."

Bringing the Transformation Home

Coming home after an experience like this isn’t about going back to normal—it’s about stepping into a new version of yourself. For Lucky, that meant appreciating his wife even more, embracing struggles as part of the journey, and truly owning his newfound confidence.

It also meant learning to trust himself.

"There are still moments where I think, 'What the fuck am I doing?' But then I sit with the gray fox and ask, 'What’s my next step?' And I listen."

Instead of fighting the uncertainty, he now has tools to navigate it. Instead of fearing his emotions, he embraces them. And instead of waiting for life to happen to him, he conducts the symphony himself.

An Invitation to Those on the Fence

If you’re reading this and feel something stirring inside you—the pull toward change, the curiosity about stepping into your power—Lucky has some advice:

"It’s not going to hurt you. If you go into this fully committed, ready to let go and trust the process, it will change you. But if you come in skeptical and guarded, you won’t get the full experience. When you’re ready, you’ll know. And when you take that leap, don’t look back."

For Lucky, this journey was life-changing. And it’s one he believes should be revisited—perhaps every year or every other year—to keep clearing the fog and staying aligned with his path. Because transformation isn’t a one-time event. It’s an ongoing journey.

"I don’t know why I waited so long. Emotions aren’t as scary as I thought. When you make the leap, that’s when you’re truly ready to move forward."

And for those who are still waiting, the fox is just behind the door, ready to be set free.
