The Lone Wolf Struggle

Have you ever felt like you don’t quite fit in or struggle to find like-minded individuals? I’ve been there. Personal growth often feels isolating, especially when you outgrow your existing social circles. As you evolve, your network holds significant influence over you. 

Sometimes, you’ll outgrow these networks, leading you into a metaphorical dark forest. But it’s crucial to remember you don’t have to walk this path alone.

Outgrowing Networks and Finding New Ones

One of the downsides of growth is the realization that your friends and your network may no longer serve your higher vision. This often results in loneliness and the necessity to find new connections. 

For me, this happened after moving to San Diego and then to Los Angeles for a dream job. The constant shifting and growth led to severing old ties and the challenge of finding new ones. Starting fresh in Los Angeles and then returning to San Diego marked a significant shift in my life. 

This period was about committing to my personal growth and vision, which became even more essential with the birth of my child. With this commitment, I knew I needed to avoid falling back into old habits and friendships that didn’t support my new life goals.

The Power of Investment and Pushing Comfort Zones

In 2019, I took a leap by joining a mastermind group led by Aubrey Marcus, which required a significant financial and emotional investment. But being around like-minded individuals who prioritized human optimization was exactly what I needed. 

This experience highlighted the importance of pushing past comfort zones and being intentional about the relationships you choose to cultivate.

Relationships require patience. 

It’s easy to think you’ve found "the one" in friendships, only to realize over time that not all connections are meant to last. 

Building meaningful relationships involves initiating connection and allowing time for true colors to reveal themselves. The process includes trust-building, patience, and pushing through discomfort.

Creating a Soul Tribe

To find your soul tribe, you must take the initiative to meet new people, push your comfort boundaries, and be patient. Initially, you might connect with just one or two people, but over time, these relationships can grow exponentially. 

Developing a rhythm for connection and intentionally creating space for interactions are essential steps. 

Reflecting on my journey, I’ve gone from feeling like a lone wolf to creating a deeply connected soul tribe.

These ingredients have allowed me to build lasting bonds with like-minded individuals who support and challenge me to grow.
